Shane English School Taiwan held its 8th English Speech Contest on the 10th of August in Kaohsiung. A grand total of 46 students signed up for the competition this year and there were 300 family members, friends, and classmates in the audience who were encouraging the contestants to do their best and have a good time! Contestants had to write and present a one and a half minute speech to the audience based on certain topics such as “The world would be a better place if…” The judges looked at fluency, body language, voice, correctness, and timing, and prizes were given to those who got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at each level.
